anyways this was part of an idea for a bigger thing that i 100% won’t ever finish. it was a lot more sad than this drawing communicates. and had time travel hope magic + punching coffeeshop au-esque tropes in the face.

a little hype drawing of dirk for @callmearcturus‘s upcoming fic! its a island… mystery sex adventure…. mer!jake + alpha friendship… lots of delicious magical worldbuilding… epic. i’m summarising it in literally the worst way possible but i’ve gotten to read the outline and bits of the first chapter and. get hype.

context: dirk has magic warding tattoos that need to be cleansed of the magic that’s built up on them using salt water and the imagery just. nagged me for an entire day until i drew this
